Key Feel Provides An Authentic Piano
The P-45 features a graded hammer standard keyboard. The feel of the keyboard gradually changes according to the register, so that it feels heavier when playing bass parts and lighter when playing treble parts. The piano also features a keyboard with a natural feel, with black keys that feature a matte finish for authentic piano playing close to that of an acoustic piano.
Is It Worth It
The short answer is yes! However, this question depends on what you desire from a keyboard. The Yamaha P71 offers 10 highly-accurate instrument sounds to satisfy nearly every musician. If youre someone who likes hundreds of sounds, the P71 might not be for you. Even though huge-soundbank keyboards can have excellent sounds, they generally arent made with sound quality as the top priority.
But, if youre someone who fancies the idea of quality over quantity, the P71 may align with your values. The AWM Stereo Sampling sound engine delivers rich and spacious sounding instruments. With Graded Hammer Action, this keyboard also feels very authentic to a real grand piano. The action isnt too heavy or too light, which is nice. Rather than being a vast workstation, the P71 closer resembles a mini grand piano. Its excellent for students and teachers alike and anyone who wants to learn the piano.
Overall, this Yamaha P71 review deems the keyboard as an excellent choice for beginners and advanced pianists. So, if you want a rich-sounding full-sized keyboard at an affordable price, the Yamaha P71 might be your best choice.

Key Considerations When Buying A Digital Piano
Portability and Storage
Digital pianos are lighter and more compact than acoustic pianos. Most models weigh much less and are easy to transport or store out of the way when not in use. When choosing your digital piano check the dimensions. Make sure that it fits where you intend to keep it and also ensure the keyboard height is appropriate or the stand is adjustable. If youre planning on transporting the piano, check the weight, and how easy it is to break down as well as whether it comes with a carry bag.
Digital pianos can vary greatly in price, however, they still remain far less expensive to purchase than acoustic pianos. In addition, the maintenance on digital pianos is minimal whereas acoustic pianos require a costly tuning service. The pricing on a digital piano will depend on its size, functions, sound quality, touch response, and brand. Decide which features are most important to you before looking at options.
With a traditional piano, volume is determined by how hard you strike the keys. There really is no chance that you are going to be practicing while the rest of the household is sleeping. Digital piano volume can easily be controlled with the simple slide or turn of a knob. In addition, you can use headphones on many keyboard sets allowing you to practice without disturbing anyone else.

Alesis Coda Pro Weighted Action
Alesis Professional are now a very well known name in the electronic music industry, and have a reputation for making some excellent weighted keyboards that rival premium manufacturers without the equivalent price tag. The Coda range is one of their best selling keyboard ranges, and its the Coda Pro that weve chosen to include here. Its full-size 88keyed weighted keyboards been designed for a wide range of uses, from students in their bedrooms to live use. We can tell you straight away that its a superb option, with some nice features at an excellent price, but lets look at things in a little more detail.
Theres little more to say other than that this is a great sounding digital keyboard with key weights – all 20 voices are excellent, and youd be hard pressed to tell that this isnt a keyboard that costs two or three times as much.
The hammer action weighted keys go a very long way in making the Coda Pro feel like a quality instrument. They help the digital keyboard feel more like a 88keyed digital piano , and generally are just very nice to play. Each key is made well too – you wont find cheap feeling plastics here.
The Coda Pro is a nice looking digital keyboard, with a clean black finish, a symmetrical design, and cool angular speakers. Highlights are in red. Again, this all helps it to look like a premium product. It has a USB port, as it is a USB MIDI.
Pros:+ Great quality+ Good range of features

Yamaha P45 Vs Casio Px
Even though its an entry level digital piano, the P45 still taxes you a lot for the Yamaha brand. One of its competitors, the Casio PX-160 offers much more value for the price.
Yes, the Casio PX-160 is a little bit more expensive then the Yamaha P45. But you get a much more advanced key action. The one on the PX-160 is a triple sensored action compare to P45s dual sensored. The keys on the PX-160 also feature Ivory/Ebony key tops, which is quite useful to help with grip and moisture absorption during long playing sessions.
The Casio PX-160 has double the amount of polyphony number when compared with the Yamaha P45 . It also has internal recording function that I for one can not live without.
Overall, if you can stretch your budget a little, I strongly recommend the Casio PX-160 over the Yamaha P45. For an entry level instrument, the brand premium is simply not worth it.

This helps students get a feel for playing with other musicians while allowing them to play solo compositions.
Advantages of an Arranger Keyboard
- Conforms to professional industry standards

These are the keyboards used by many hip-hop and pop artists to program beats and other parts of the composition to play automatically.Workstation keyboards often include weighted keys, making them a good choice for the advanced beginner keyboard student. For the fledgling composer, however, a controller and laptop provide the same tools for a lower price.

Top 10 Best Digital Piano For Beginners
One of the most common questions my Piano students ask me is which is the best digital piano for beginners should I buy. You must buy a piano that is beginner-friendly and affordable at the same time. I did some initial research of 20 odd keyboards and digital pianos and came out with my list of the 10 best digital pianos for beginners.
These digital pianos are selected based on 7 criteria and they are as follows:
Arranger & Music Workstations
While synthesizers are perfect for people creating wild sounds, arrangers are more useful to songwriters, composers, and solo performers that need full accompaniments.
You dont have as much control over your sound, but you do gain the ability to sound like a full band all by yourself.
With workstations, there is a lot of work you can do before you have to switch to your computer or another device. Editing, mixing, recording, and performing can all be accomplished on a workstationthese are very powerful machines.

A Fully Immersive Concert Grand Experienceeven With Headphones
Binaural sampling is a method of sampling in which special microphones are placed on a mannequins head in the same positions as the pianists ears to capture piano sounds the way that they sound in reality.
We chose this method to create the ambience and full, natural resonance of acoustic pianos in Clavinova pianos. This makes pianists feel as though they are sitting at a grand piano even when they play with headphones on. The experience is so pleasant that they forget they are wearing headphones, no matter how long they continue to play.
On CLP-700 Series pianos, binaural sampling was used for the Bösendorfer Imperial as well as the Yamaha CFX. Yamaha achieves higher-definition binaural sound with a specially developed mannequin head and model ears used for the recording.
We also developed the Stereophonic Optimizer function to achieve the same effect for the piano effects. Stereophonic Optimizer technology replicates the natural diffusion of sound in headphones nearly as closely as binaural sampling for the piano voices other than the CFX and Imperial.
Simple Operation Using The Smart Pianist App
Smart Pianist allows you to control the many functions included in your Yamaha digital piano with your smart device. Voices, rhythms and other settings can be selected through the familiar touch screen of your phone or tablet, making it easy to control the functions of your piano.
You can also use the Chord Tracker function to learn how to play the chords of your favorite songs. Chord Tracker analyzes the songs from your music library on your iPhone or iPad and displays the chord symbols so you can play along! Find new ways to enjoy your P-125, using smart functions that only a modern digital instrument can provide.
