Playing The Scientist Lead Sheet Music Hands Together
In our tutorial, weve simplified things by playing quarter notes in both the right and left hands. However, in the original recording, eighth notes are played in the left hand. This means the left hand plays twice as fast as the quarter notes on the right.
Play whatever sounds good to you. You can also just play the root note of each chord on your left hand, or play it in an octave.
Since the rhythm is so steady and simple, The Scientist is a perfect song to practice singing while playing. We hope you enjoy this classic tune, and happy practicing!

The Scientist lyrics
Come up to meet you, tell you Im sorryYou dont know how lovely you areI had to find you, tell you I need youTell you Ill set you apart
Tell me your secrets and ask me your questionsOh lets go back to the startRunning in circles, coming in tailsHeads on a science apart
Nobody said it was easyIts such a shame for us to partNobody said it was easyNo one ever said it would be this hardOh, take me back to the start.
I was just guessing at numbers and figuresPulling your puzzles apartQuestions of science, science and progressDo not speak as loud as my heart
Tell me you love me, come back and haunt meOh and I rush to the startRunning in circles, chasing our tailsComing back as we are

Fsus2 In 2nd Inversion
A sus chord is when you substitute the 3rd of the chord with something else. In this case, we substitute the 3rd of the F chord with the 2nd note of the F Major scale .
Well play Fsus2 in 2nd inversion, which means well reorder F-G-C to C-F-G.
Theres one more chord in the song, C Major, which doesnt come until the end, but its pretty easy.
