Easy Piano Sheet Music For Seniors
Below is an example of an extract from a song sheet, which shows the same notes and chords in traditional notation, standard lead sheet and ‘PianoTabz’ lead sheet. This demonstrates how the PianoTabz version is much easier to understand, as you don’t need to learn how to read notation, which is a barrier for many people.
PianoTabz is designed for songs, not complex classical music, but it is very effective for beginner to intermediate level classical music such as Beethoven Fur Elise and Moonlight Sonata. An example of this is shown in the the testimonials videos, featuring a student who struggled for years with notation, but was able to play Fur Elise within 4 hours using a PianoTabz song sheet.

- Simplicity in setup and use How easy is it to sign up and install the program? Is it user-friendly? Is the content easy to navigate?
- Quality of content/tutors Are the lessons easy to follow? What is the quality of the video? Are teachers easy to understand? Do they give clear instructions? Do they communicate information in a friendly manner?
- Range of content What areas or skills is the platform focused on? Does it contain lessons for advanced players? If its only suitable for beginners, does it have enough material and songs/tutorials?
- Useful features Can you use the program on multiple devices? Is there a possibility to get feedback on your playing? Is the service flexible or customizable? Are there features such as the ability to slow down or loop video?
We approach every platform with these same four categories in mind.
Our testing team includes:

Best Online Piano Lessons Apps For Learning Fast In 2022
Music is one of those things that can catch our attention at a young age and never really let go. Music helps us to define the critical moments in our lives, connects us to emotions and memories, and often is crucial to forming the foundation of who we are as people.
Many people in the world can play the piano. But frequently, their musical education stopped with piano lessons they took as kids. Memories of stern teachers, learning how to read sheet music, lectures about posture, and spending hours and hours practicing scales and theory can suck the fun right out of learning. Even if you manage to stick with lessons long enough, it can take years before you realize the practical aspects of music theory.
However as adults, learning to play an instrument like the piano is one thing that sits close to the top of the list of things that most of us would like to do. These are the three most common scenarios that lead adults to pick up an instrument again:
Unfortunately, time is the thing that always ends up getting in the way. Life is busy. Between work, kids, and daily chores, most of us never manage to find the time to sit down and practice.

Because of this, the DecPlay range of piano methods was designed around the most important patterns in music and uses chord sheets and lead sheets instead of traditional notation. This is the standard way that piano professionals play popular music and it is the most popular way of learning guitar.

Factors To Consider When Deciding Which Online Piano Program Is Right For You

If youre not sure how to choose the best online piano program for you, lets take a look at some of the factors that can affect your decision.
Lesson quality
One of the most important things you should look for in an online piano course is the quality of the content. If the course is based on video lessons, make sure they are recorded with good quality.
Split screens, on-screen notation, and colored notes can be very helpful. And if youre looking for an app, a neat, simple interface and real-time feedback feature can make your learning process easier.
Learning structure, methods & curriculum
When looking for an online piano course, you should find a program that fits your learning goals. So, check out their curriculum first, and see if you like the material. Either way, the best piano courses should have a well-rounded curriculum that teaches both music theory and playing songs.
If youre a beginner, linear lessons are the best way to go. If you follow a clear, structured learning path, you wont skip any important concept or skill.
Results
Of course, your chosen piano course should yield good results. You should check if the course or an app aligns with your goals first. For example, an app like Flowkey features a vast song library with more than 1,000 songs. So, if your goal is to learn new songs, you should opt for Flowkey.

Number of songs

Either way, its good that the program offers a refund or at least a free trial period.

To All The People Having Trouble Getting It To Pick Up Notes
To all of the people having trouble getting the app to pick up notes from their piano/keyboard: I have had this problem with all of the piano apps that I have tried and I figured out that if I transpose my keyboard, usually up one from the default, it will register the notes. If going up one doesnt work, I would recommend fiddling with it until the notes register, as other keyboards may be set up differently from mine. Hope this helps!Note: I am giving this review more as advice than an actual review, so I will be giving it five stars automatically, regardless of my actual rating.
Whats So Great About Learning Piano Online
Learning to play the piano at your own pace in the comfort of your own home is a great option if youve always wanted to learn but never found the time or you’ve found face-to-face lessons too expensive or difficult to fit into a busy schedule.
The brilliant thing about the best online piano lesson services available to budding pianists today is that they combine the best of both worlds – an affordable, practical alternative to traditional lessons with recourse to one-on-one coaching should you need it.
Above all, many of the bespoke apps used by these services have been designed in a video game-style format, with progress tracking and added motivation in the form of trophies, bonuses and unlockable extra content that are great for keeping kids interested. The easy accessibility of this approach means that even the greenest of novices should be able to learn to play a beginner keyboard song in about an hour.
Being primarily web-based, most online piano teaching solutions will run quite happily on both Mac and PC platforms, and most are also compatible with iOS and Android devices. If you plug a MIDI keyboard into your computers USB port, some software can even determine which keys youre pressing and which youre missing, so youll be able to see how well you are doing, and the site will be able to grade your progress and keep score, often in a trophy-led manner akin to a video game.
