What Is A Musical Scale
A scale is a set of musical notes ordered as a well-defined sequence of intervals . A semitone is the minimum distance between two consecutive notes in any tempered scale . In other words, a semitone is also the distance between two consecutive keys on the piano. For example, the distance between C and C# , or the distance between E and F . However, the distance between C and D, for example, is a full tone .
Musical scales are an essential part of music improvisation and composition. Practicing scales will provide you with the necessary skills to play different styles of music like Jazz, Flamenco or Blues. You can also use scales to create your own melodies and set the mood of your piece.
Any chosen scale can be transported to any tonal center . The tonal center or tonic is the note where the scale hierarchy starts and it is represented on the virtual piano with a darker blue dot. When playing music under a particular scale, you should normally avoid any key without a blue dot, although composers sometimes use altered notes which are not within the scale.
Notes in a scale do not need to be played in a particular order, you can play them in any order you like, so feel free to improvise!

What Is The Purpose Of Midi
There are at least two options: 1. If your keyboard has a training function, you can use midi files. It is very convenient. 2. If you are learning a piece and cant figure out how a certain part of it should sound, you can listen the file using the screen of your keyboard or a sheet music program. You will be able to see the note that is being played and figure out how to play the piece on your own.

I love this Virtual Piano. Its my favorite out of all of the ones I have tried.
Upon opening the website, the piano takes a while to load. It is clear that this program has a bit more going on. Once it loads, it takes about 15 seconds for the piano to respond to my commands.
Once the piano is fully loaded, its responsive and is one of the better sounding pianos available. I love that it is laid out like a digital stage piano.
On the right, you can record yourself and play it back. You can also press the Keys button and it will give a keyboard guide showing which QWERTY key corresponds to which piano key.
You can control the key mapping as well. When it is set to Real, then the keys are distributed just like on a real piano, and three octaves are available. When it is set to Max, you have access to five octaves, but black keys are accessed using the shift key.
I thought this was great way to respond to the octave problem, because a lot of the time people are just playing in C anyway!
My favorite part about this piano is that it has four sounds, and they are all good. The harpsichord sounds great, the organ is a church-style organ and the harp also sounds good. If they added in an Electric Piano sound, I would be over the moon!

That would be my first piece of advice. But I have a pickup truck and my friends are strong! Sure, that sounds good on paper. The reality is that pianos are harder to move correctly than you think. Notice I said correctly? With enough muscle power you can definitely move the piano, you can also break the legs, damage the case, make big divots in the floor and/or walls of your house trash the side of your friends truck. Most importantly, you and your buddies can get hurt.
Pianos are heavy, some massively so. They may seem really sturdy, I mean look at all that heavy duty wood. Heck theres even a cast iron plate inside the piano. Yup, agreed. But there are literally thousands of delicate moving parts inside a piano. And pianos arent just heavy, they are also easy to tip over, and depending on the style, easy to break legs , and if you scratch up the finish your wife/spouse/significant other is not going to be happy with you.
The difficulty and the odds of damage go up exponentially when you bring a baby grand piano into the equation. They require special equipment and knowledge of the proper sequence for dismantling. The legs have to be removed in just the right sequence, as does the pedal lyre, the piano needs to be well padded and strapped onto what is commonly called a grand skid.

Best Virtual Pianos To Practice Your Pianist Skills Online
One of the hardest parts about practicing piano is that you must have a piano to practice on. Acoustic pianos are not portable, and even digital pianos are often bulky, heavy and expensive.
While I was looking into this problem, I came across dozens of virtual, online pianos. These arent MIDI keyboards, they are typically websites containing apps. They allow you to play keys on the piano by using the QWERTY keyboard.
Now, these pianos are not going to turn you into a virtuoso. They lack any dynamics and the QWERTY layout doesnt correspond to a standard keyboard setup.
That said, these sites can help you learn and practice sight reading, note association and even simple songs.
These virtual pianos all work a little bit differently, and some are much better than others. I tried them all, and I have ranked them from worst to best .
