Back To Black By Amy Winehouse
Genre: Pop
Back To Black was released by Amy Winehouse in her second and last studio album of the same name in 2006. It was written by Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson. It is considered to be one of Winehouses signature songs. It tells about Amy Winehouses breakup with her boyfriend. She described the song Back to Black is when youve finished a relationship and you go back to whats comfortable for you. My ex went back to his girlfriend and I went back to drinking and dark times.
We didnt choose an extra easy version this time. Because there is already a super fun piano partition in this piece. You can omit the melody in red and focus on the yellow parts. Your left-hand plays the bass and right plays the chords. Dont use the sustain pedal because the right hand plays staccato. Pay attention to groove and rhythm.
Titanium David Guetta Feat Sia

Stranger Things Theme Song
Genre: Soundtrack
American science fiction horror series Stranger Things was premiered in 2016 and since then it has been one of the most-watched series online. The music has its share in the success of the series. It has been listened to by millions since then and used in many events. The extensive use of synthesizers fits the 1980s theme of the show perfectly. The theme was composed by the band Survive formed of Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein. They were inspired by Giorgio Moroder, Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre.
Try to be rhythmically precise with your right hand. You can count or use a metronome to stay in the beat. After you learn the correct notes, you can use the sustain pedal to tie to notes. But be sure to clean the pedal when the left-hand plays a different note. Pay attention to the dynamics of the pianist in the video. Try to mimic when he gets quiet or loud.

Let It Be The Beatles
When it comes to great pop tunes on the piano, some of the best belong to The Beatles. Let It Be is no doubt a classic. In 2011, Rolling Stone Magazine rated it The Beatles 8th best song.
On the right hand, youre just repeating chords C-G-Am-F, then C-G-F-C. This is one of the most fun songs to learn when you are on your journey to learn how to play the piano.
Rolling In The Deep By Adele
Genre: Pop
Did you know that Adele wanted to make a sorrowful song about her break-up with her boyfriend and with the suggestion of her producer she turn it into Rolling In The Deep? Adele clarified that the songs name was taken from the slang roll deep which means always to have someone who is by your side and helps in difficult moments. It won three Grammy Awards to Adele. The music video also won three awards! It was the first song of Adele that reached a number-one position in the USA.
This version is relatively easy compared to others on the list. A simple bass pattern moves around the same chords. You play two notes the root and the fifth. This voicing is pretty common because it gives the power chord effect in electric guitar. Spend some time on the rhythm of the melody in the right hand. You can sing at the same time to get the groove.

The Chainsmokers Dont Let Me Down
This song was a wonderful collaboration between some very talented and popular artists. Its also very straightforward on the piano which makes it perfect for our list. The song is in E major for the key and has a basic chord progression. The chord structure goes E major, B major, F# major and then G# minor.
Listening to the original song you will notice that the chorus doesnt actually use any lyrics. Its an instrumental section that uses the sustain pedal and consists of G# minor chords. The bridge towards the end of the song also follows a similar progression to this.
Once again we see a syncopated rhythm used in the melody which your right hand will take over. The song overall is upbeat so it should make for a fun one to play. The harmonic structure of your left hand will drive the song so make sure you have these chords nailed before attempting to play the full song.
Havana By Camila Cabello
Genre: Pop
Havana is a tribute to Camila Cabellos hometown in Cuba where she was born and raised until 5 before moving to the USA. Naturally, it has all the Latin elements combined in a pop song. It reached number one in multiple countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the U.S. in 2017. She played herself in the music video received positive comments from critics.
After getting used to the notes, instead of playing straight, try to give a Latin feeling to the bass on your left hand. You can imagine a Latin percussion accompanying in your head to do so. The intro is super fun to play and it doesnt sound like an easy version at all. If you can sing or if you have a friend to sing you can ditch the melody and play the intro throughout the song with few variations.

Michael Jackson Human Nature
Any list of piano songs from the pop genre would be nowhere near complete without the King of Pop joining our entries. Human Nature is one of the songs from Michael Jackson that took more influence from jazz than any other genre. The chord progressions and combinations that are used throughout the song are what make it so unique when you listen to this artists entire catalog of music.
At the beginning of the song, you will be playing an interlude that is purely instrumental. You will notice that this instrumental keeps repeating over and over again between the verses and choruses. This instrumental is what we would suggest you start out learning first. The chorus and all of the verses are made up of four chords so these are really simple sections for piano newbies.
Another thing that will help you play this song as a beginner is that your left-hand stays in pretty much the same place throughout the entire piece. You will use your thumb and little finger for most of the bass line harmonies.
Havana By Camilla Cabello
Again, not a classic. Havana is a pop song fun for dancing and for beginners to play on the piano. Listening to the song, you may not realize it, but the chorus is a straightforward pattern of notes for the left hand to grasp and a couple of exact chords for the right hand. Once you master those, you can get into the full tune.
Havana is a bit more complicated than the other primary piano songs for beginners, but it is still more straightforward than the listed classical compositions. It has an unusual, offbeat tune that can take some getting used to, but learning this will only strengthen your playing ability in the long run.
Ultimately, Havana is a prime song to challenge yourself while you learn. You can pace yourself to take the chords step by step to get the tune right while also learning to master some foundational piano chords.

Lean On Me By Bill Withers
Next, were flying back in time to play the classic, feel-good Lean On Me by Bill Withers!
This song is so fun and so simple. To play the main riff, you essentially keep your hand in one shape and then just move it around. The shape well use on our right hand is the shape we use to play first inversion chords. For example, a C chord is played as E-G-C with fingers 1-2-5.
On our left hand, well play the root notes of those chords. If your hands are big enough, you can play octaves to create more oomph. The motive can be played underneath the chorus too.
Imagining the melody in your head will help with learning this song.
The Threshold Of The Larger World Of Piano Music

Leaving more predictable patterns behind makes left hand chords trickier. Good reading skills definitely required!
These pieces stretch pianists’ abilities.
More technique is required, with the use of chord inversions, thicker textures in the melodies, and stretched hand positions.
Additionally, note reading strays far outside the two octaves around Middle C.
